Acupuncture
Our integrated approach incorporates both research-based and time-tested treatments combining Chinese medicine, acupuncture, naturopathy and functional medicine. Rather than taking a traditional disease-centered focus, we address the underlying causes of disease using a patient-centered approach addressing the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.
Physical Therapy
As a primary caregiver, a physiotherapist can assess, diagnose, and treat your injury through a combination of methods that may include: manual therapy; manipulation; acupuncture; modalities such as ultrasound, laser and heat; and/or exercise prescription. Education plays an important role in physical therapy. The goal of physical therapy is to return you to your optimal function and strength, while educating you about your injury. This allows you to independently maintain a healthy body without the constant supervision of a therapist.
Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapists are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. They are educated and trained to accurately assess and treat with techniques that include massage and manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative exercise such as stretching, strengthening, postural exercise and patient education.
Counselling / Psychology / Mental Health
Counselling is the skilled and principled use of relationship to facilitate self- knowledge, emotional acceptance and growth and the optimal development of personal resources. The overall aim of counsellors is to provide an opportunity for people to work towards living more satisfyingly and resourcefully. Counselling relationships will vary according to need but may be concerned with developmental issues, addressing and resolving specific problems, making decisions, coping with crisis, developing personal insights and knowledge, working through feelings of inner conflict or improving relationships with others.
